What Is TMI Tuesday?

TMI Tuesday is a series of questions generated by TMI Tuesday Blog. It is a great way to meet other bloggers and to share some thoughts and experiences. It is important to remember that there are no right or wrong answers to these questions, only the answers of the author –  and that’s part of what makes this tag so awesome!

Hello all,

I hope you had a great weekend. Its be an interesting week with vaccines being successfully rolled out lately, hopefully that will be a little glimmer of hope that we can get back to normality sometime soon. It’s now been nearly a year since I’ve been in the office so when/if I ever go back, I think its going to cause me some anxiety/ For now, I’m happy in the office we have in the bedroom.

This week’s questions taken this week from questions from the web. I hope you enjoy!

1. When was the last time you tried something new?

It would be the last snack testing, from … Well, you will just have to wait and see, won’t you?! Stayed tuned to the blog to read all about it!

2. Who do you sometimes compare yourself to?

This took a lot of thought to be honest. I don’t think I really compare my self to anyone, I am very self critical so I don’t think comparing myself to someone else wouldn’t be very good for my mental health. I try to be independent and not follow the crowd too so I certainly wouldn’t compare myself to any celebs.

3. What gets you excited about life?

I think learning new things, and visiting new places, I’ve not gone to as many places as I’ve wanted to due to the lockdown but when things are back to normality, I want to learn a new language and visit other countries. You only get one roll of the dice so you need to live each moment, which is a little bit difficult to do right now!

4. Are you satisfied with your work?

Well, that’s a question… I could write a whole blog about this, but I won’t bore you poor readers! The short answer is no, not really, I feel what used to be a career for me has now turned into a dead-end job. I’m hoping for a change this year when things are more back to normal – or whenever that may be!

5. What have people most often praised you for?

Linked to the previous question, at work I guess it would be my approachability, my helpfulness and my willingness to support the team. I often train new members of staff and go the extra mile when needed. I will stop now though as it sounds like I’m reciting my CV! At home, It’s probably my sense of humour and my roast potatoes.

Bonus: When you think of your home, what immediately comes to mind?

Probably our lounge, it’s a very warm and open space. When I’ve been out and come back to my lounge, I feel like I’m home and safe.  Add a cup of tea or a nice cold beer to the mix and forget all about the day!

Well that’s my TMI questions,. I hope you have a great week. Remember to keep celebrating the little wins and ensure that you are looking after your mental health at this difficult time!

Take care speak soon,

Matt
